Project Date of completion: Dec 2012-April 2013
The first major exhibition of celebrated artist, Anish Kapoor, was put on by the Museum of Contemporary Art in Sydney.
Tri-Point were engaged to install the “Sky Mirror”, a 10.6m wide concave dish of polished stainless steel weighing 23 tonnes. The artwork was built at an angle pointing up towards the sky so that it’s surface reflected the ever-changing environment.
Pieced together by Kapoor’s team, with the assistance of our riggers, and with a little help from a boom lift and a crane, the structure sat in situ on the banks of Sydney Harbour for approximately 5 months, from December 2012 through to April 2013.
