Tri-Point’s Dave Hird was the Supervising Head Rigger for the filming of (feature film) Gods of Egypt, which shot in Sydney in 2015.
Tri-Point provided equipment and resources for the duration of production, which included multiple blue screen rigs at Fox Studios, as well as blue screens and overhead diffusion crane rigs in Centennial Park.

For the second year in a row, Tri-Point are proud to have provided the main stage structure and lighting towers to suit 2014’s Handa Opera on Sydney Harbour.
Fast becoming an iconic event around the world, the spectacular 2014 season saw Opera Australia put on a production of Madame Butterfly, which was based on a large grassy hill for the first act, and in a run down Japanese dwelling for the second act.
Tri-Point managed the installation of the pylons into the sea bed, constructing a heavy duty truss grid to sit on top to create the stage that appears to be “hovering” above Sydney Harbour’s waters.

Tri-Point also installed crane bases for the two stage cranes, sub-decking, and a scaffold underworld for the dressing rooms, orchestra pit and set support. Red Circle cladded the set support with their beautiful set decoration.
On either side of the main stage, Tri-Point installed two heavy duty steel goalposts – again on the water – to suit the lighting of the show.
The event takes place at Farm Cove, in the Royal Botanical Gardens, Sydney.
Tri-Point has been involved with Vivid Sydney projects for many years on behalf of individual artists and production managers alike. From ground supported truss structures to support LED video walls and lighting installations, to scaffold projection towers and rigging solutions in and around the harbour, Tri-Point have worked on a vast range of bespoke projects at Vivid.
Vivid 2014 was no exception. Tri-Point were recognised as an official event collaborator to Vivid Sydney by providing scaffolding, truss and rigging solutions for Filament Storm.
Produced by Sketch Evolution, the project lit 5 buildings across Sydney’s skyline with illumination technology and we were thrilled to provide the infrastructure for this innovative installation.
Tri-Point were contracted by Kerrect Group on behalf of the Sydney Opera House to assist the team from Scottish 10 who came to Sydney to complete a 3D digital scan of the Sydney Opera House.
The purpose of the project was to digitally document an International World Heritage site, as chosen by the Scottish Government, effectively imprinting this iconic building into the history books in 3D.
Tri-Point provided a number of truss rigs to support the 3D laser scanner as it overhung the sails on the roof of The House, utilising our aluminium concert box truss and tri truss.

The Australian of the Year Awards, which was aired live on television on the eve of Australia Day, took place on the lawns in front of Parliament House in Canberra.
Tri-Point provided and installed the bespoke open-air stage design, which included scaffold and decking, large steel PA towers, and angled truss towers along the length of each “catwalk” which were then cladded with set pieces.
